Support Worker
Location: Clacton-on-Sea
Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour | Annual Earning: Up to £34,000 per year + Overtime Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking Support Workers / Care Assistants to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a supported living environment.
This role involves hands-on support to promote independence, dignity, and choice, assisting individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and access to the community. A full UK driving licence is mandatory for roles involving mobility vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care (washing, bathing, toilet assistance)
- Support with daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping)
- Assist with medication administration
- Foster independent living and develop life skills
- Facilitate community access, appointments, and social inclusion
- Adhere to care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding protocols
- Document and report incidents, behaviours, and progress notes
- Collaborate on teamwork, attend handovers, and participate in meetings

Skills & Experience
- Support Worker / Care Assistant background preferred
- Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
- Familiarity with safeguarding, mental health, autism, and learning disabilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and proactive
- Willingness to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
- Strict adherence to professional boundaries and confidentiality
