Support Worker

Location: Clacton-on-Sea

Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour | Annual Earning: Up to £34,000 per year + Overtime Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time / Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking Support Workers / Care Assistants to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a supported living environment.

This role involves hands-on support to promote independence, dignity, and choice, assisting individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and access to the community. A full UK driving licence is mandatory for roles involving mobility vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care (washing, bathing, toilet assistance)
  • Support with daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, shopping)
  • Assist with medication administration
  • Foster independent living and develop life skills
  • Facilitate community access, appointments, and social inclusion
  • Adhere to care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding protocols
  • Document and report incidents, behaviours, and progress notes
  • Collaborate on teamwork, attend handovers, and participate in meetings

Skills & Experience

  • Support Worker / Care Assistant background preferred
  • Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Familiarity with safeguarding, mental health, autism, and learning disabilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, compassionate, and proactive
  • Willingness to work day shifts, night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Strict adherence to professional boundaries and confidentiality
