Support Worker – Day Services (Crowborough)

The Opportunity
You will be a vital part of our team, providing support to adults with a learning disability in our day service in Crowborough. Your work will create real, meaningful change in the lives of service users, offering you a rewarding career that genuinely makes a difference.
As a Support Worker in Day Services, you will:
- Lead timetabled activities to promote friendships, develop independence, and integrate participants into the local community.
- Help clients with personal care, including assistance with eating, hygiene, and daily routines.
- Provide emotional and practical support to improve health, mental wellbeing, and social networks.
This role is also about planned learning and community engagement, supporting groups in activities that enhance health, independence, and wellbeing.
Salary & Training
This is a full-time role (37 hours per week), paid between £25,989 to £26,403 per annum (equivalent to £13.50–£13.72 per hour).
Your schedule will include:
- Two long days (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Two standard days (options: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 11:30 AM – 7:00 PM) Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (the service is closed on Wednesdays)
- You’ll bring your own skills and interests into the activities, forming a dynamic and fulfilling service.

Key Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with clients—and their advocates—by showing an ability to converse empathetically.
- Work flexibly, both as part of a team and independently.
- Assist with:
- Personal care
- Medication administration
- Health-related tasks
- Promote learning, health, and wellbeing through structured activities.
Requirements
We’re looking for candidates who:
- Have (or are willing to complete) RQF Level 1 Maths and English requirements, or can show sufficient literacy/aptitude during the assessment process.
- Possess patience and sensitivity in supporting individuals.
- Are committed to accurate record-keeping while delivering assistance.
