Support Worker – Forestry House, near Neath (Driver Essential)
Full UK Driving Licence ESSENTIAL
Full-time | 39 hours per week (days, evenings, nights, weekends, waking & sleep nights)
£13.45 – £13.75 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Sleep-ins paid at £57 per night
We are recruiting a Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive team at Forestry House, a newly refurbished five-bedroom residential service set in a rural location near Neath. The service has been recently updated to provide a warm, modern and comfortable environment for both the people we support and our staff.
The home supports adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives. If you’re a confident driver looking for a rewarding role near Neath, this could be the perfect opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Support adults with daily living to promote emotional, physical and social wellbeing
- Drive individuals to appointments, activities and community visits
- Build positive, trusting relationships with the people you support
- Encourage independence and support the development of everyday life skills
- Work as part of a dedicated team delivering high-quality, person-centred support
- Complete daily records and relevant documentation
- Assist with cooking, cleaning and general household tasks

What We’re Looking For
This Support Worker role is ideal for someone who is caring, reliable and confident behind the wheel. No previous experience is required — full training is provided.
You Must Have
- A full UK driving licence (essential)
- Confidence driving as part of daily support duties
- A positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work a rota including waking nights and weekends
- A willingness to learn and develop while supporting individuals
This role involves regulated activity with adults and requires an Enhanced DBS with barred list check.
