Support Worker
Location: Redruth, Cornwall Hours: 37.5 contracted hours per week (Mon–Sun, including weekends, evenings, and holidays) Salary: £26,058.65 per annum (£13.33 p/h) Job Ref: 5118 Regrets: Advance is unable to accept sponsorship requirements.
About the Role

If you love the idea of fostering independence and enabling others to live lives they choose, Advance is looking for Support Workers in Redruth, Cornwall, to work with customers who have:
- Learning disabilities
- Autism
- Complex needs
- Mental health conditions

A UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene (where required)
- Medication administration (if trained)
- Supporting meal preparation and cooking
- Escorting to medical appointments
- Facilitating social activities and independence
- Handling domestic duties (e.g., cleaning, laundry)
- Updating and maintaining legal records and care plans
- Completing regular training to ensure best practice compliance
About the Candidate

A suitable candidate will be well-equipped to:
- Operate independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Complete detailed, accurate support records
- Commit to working regular weekends and shifts (7am–10:30pm)
- Follow support plans, risk assessments, and organisational policies
- Possess literacy, numeracy, and fluency in English
- Be enthusiastic for and capable of achieving The Care Certificate
