Support Worker – £500 JOINING BONUS

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker at Oaklea Care Yeovil.
This role involves working with young adults who have complex needs—including learning disabilities, mental health challenges, acquired brain injuries, autism, and related conditions. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial part in empowering colleagues to fulfil their potential, build resilience, and live life to the fullest within their communities.
This is a challenging yet deeply rewarding role, requiring sensitivity, dedication, and a genuine desire to make a lasting, positive impact on someone’s life.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture strong relationships—listen, collaborate, and co-create personalised goals with those you support.
- Plan and assist with daily tasks, including:
- Domestic activities such as cooking, cleaning, and running errands
- Personal care needs, including meal support, mobility assistance, and medication administration
- Plan and participate in meaningful activities to encourage independence, such as outings or leisure pursuits.
- Empower individuals to build confidence and independence in their daily living.
- Promote a culture of autonomy and choice in the community.
- Report safeguarding concerns in accordance with company policy if necessary.

- Past experience in social care, disability support, or related fields (not mandatory—training provided).
- Interest in continuing professional development, ideal for upskilling through formal qualifications.
