Support Worker

Support Worker – Special Needs School (Kingston Upon Thames)

REESON Education are recruiting for a passionate Support Worker to join our special needs school in Kingston Upon Thames. Permanent roles are available for the right candidates.


About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will assist pupils with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, and challenging behaviours in both classroom and community settings.

You must be available for term-time only, Monday to Thursday, and be able to commute to Kingston Upon Thames.

No prior experience is essential, but a strong committal to being a good team player is mandatory. The school offers free, accredited, and award-winning training to all support workers.


Key Responsibilities

Here’s a typical day in this role:

  • Supporting pupils in their daily living activities, including engagement with their community and beyond
  • Encouraging pupils from their classroom activities and teamwork
  • Assisting pupils with social activities, friendships, and family connections
  • Actively participating as part of the class team—injecting energy and wisdom while staying flexible and adaptable

Requirements

  • Preferred but not essential: Support Worker experience in special needs schools or care settings
  • Ability to commute easily to Kingston Upon Thames
  • Availability for term-time only (Monday to Thursday)
