Support Worker
Support Worker – Supported Living Service (Swansea)
About the Role
We’re looking for passionate and caring Support Workers to join our Supported Living service in Cwmfelin, Swansea.
Three positions available:
- 34-hour shift pattern
- 37-hour shift pattern
- Flexible hours, including a ‘sleep-in shift’ (<8 hours)
- Day shifts available: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
A full UK manual driving license is essential for driving Motability cars.

Codi is Wales’ largest not-for-profit provider of housing, care, and support.

The Role in Detail
This unique Supported Living service welcomes five men and one woman with physical disabilities. Residents live independently in self-contained homes, with full access to on-site office support and community interaction.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be central to promoting independence, skill-building, and moral support through the Active Support philosophy—“do with, not do for”.
Daily Tasks Include:
- Personal & Daily Living Support
- Assisting with personal care, medication administration, cooking, and household tasks (cleaning, laundry).
- Community & Social Engagement
- Supporting attendance at appointments, local groups, hobbies (e.g., walking, hiking, sports), and daily outings (e.g., shopping, gym visits).
- Companionship & Emotional Support
- Building meaningful relationships by engaging in shared interests, fostering confidence, and enabling fulfilling experiences.
- Skill Development
- assisting with financial management, daily living skills, and confidence-building.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Working closely with the team, documenting support provided, and sharing feedback to improve processes.
- Adaptability & Flexibility
- Supporting five residents with varied needs, including some lone working situations, and proactively improving the service.

While experience supporting people with physical or mental health needs is welcomed, training and mentoring are provided.

Pay & Benefits
££25,877 per annum (£13.45/hour)
- Sleep-in rate: £62.64 for each 8-hour overnight shift (~one sleep-in per week).
- Enhanced DBS check (fully covered by Codi)
- Social Care Wales registration fees reimbursed
