Support Worker
Support Worker £16.00 per hour | Driver Essential (Full clean UK licence)
Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S70
Shift patterns:
- Days: 8:00am – 8:00pm
- Nights: 8:00pm – 8:00am

We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and engaging Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a young person with complex care and behavioural needs in Barnsley. This role would suit someone who is naturally warm, interactive and happy to get involved. If you enjoy board games, electronic games, storytelling and building genuine connections, this could be a brilliant match.

- Providing 2:1 support with daily routines and activities
- Personal care and medication support
- Encouraging engagement in interests and hobbies
- Providing attentive support
- Supporting with medication and clinical needs
- Supporting with personal care
- Offering reassurance, companionship and meaningful engagement
- Monitoring safety and wellbeing
About You
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Eligibility to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK. Home Care Direct does not offer sponsorship or work visas
- Friendly, patient, and well organised
- Clear and confident in spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with the person being supported and the wider team
- Committed to providing safe, respectful, and consistent support
