The Role: Support Worker

You’ll work with young adults with complex needs, helping them fulfil their potential. This position combines challenge with incredible rewards and requires:

  • A respectful, compassionate attitude
  • Patience, flexibility, and dedication to person-centred support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strong, supportive relationships by actively:

    • Listening and discussing personal goals alongside those receiving care
    • Collaborating on planning future ambitions
  • Assist with daily tasks, including:

    • Practical activities like cooking, cleaning, and errands
    • Personal care support (eating, medication management, where safely needed)
  • Promote independence by planning and participating in exciting social activities or outings

  • Contribute positively to someone’s life through empowering support, enhancing their ability to function independently.


Required Qualities & Skills

✔ Caring and empathetic nature, with a passion for helping others achieve their goals. ✔ Team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues. ✔ Resilient—able to maintain positivity under pressure while seeking support when needed. ✔ Strong listening and communication skills.
