Pay Progression & Enhanced Rates We recognise the skill, dedication and responsibility involved in supporting individuals with complex needs and reward this with clear pay progression: Standard Support Worker Pay £12.75 per hour (starting rate) £12.85 per hour on completion of the paid-for Care Certificate £12.95 per hour on completion of a Level 2 NVQ Enhanced Rates – Complex Unit £13.00 per hour (starting rate) £13.10 per hour on completion of the paid-for Care Certificate £13.20 per hour on completion of a Level 2 NVQ Benefits & Perks £128 Paid e-learning completed before your start date Hastee Pay – access up to 40% of your earned pay when you need it 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) An additional day off for your birthday, plus up to 5 additional days of annual leave for long service Quarterly and yearly awards and performance-related bonuses Employee Assistance Programme offering support with mental health, finances, family matters and wellbeing Pension and life assurance cover up to £10,000 (T&Cs apply) Cycle2Work scheme Blue Light Card reimbursement Your Role as a Support Worker As a Support Worker, you will support individuals with complex needs to live as independently and confidently as possible. Your role will include: Companionship and emotional support Personal care delivered in a respectful, person-centred way Teaching independent living skills Medication support Supporting people to access the community, including swimming, social activities, hobbies and days out Encouraging new interests and life experiences Supporting with household tasks, budgeting and shopping You will be a valued professional, working as part of a skilled and caring team. We deliver bespoke, person-centred care using a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) model, focusing on improving quality of life, communication and independence. The service includes four one-bedroom apartments and four studio apartments, low-arousal interiors, two communal dayrooms, a landscaped communal garden, and a fully equipped sensory room. Birchwood Lodge Birchwood Lodge is a specialist supported living service for adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and complex needs. The service offers 13 modern one and two-bedroom apartments, a strong focus on independence and life-skill development, disability-friendly design, 24-hour staffing, a large landscaped communal garden, and modern security and safety systems.
