What You Will Be Doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with a range of Mental Health conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Ward rounds
  • Analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues
  • Updating patient records
  • Providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

Where You Will Be Working

Location: 12 Annandale Avenue, Bognor Regis, West Sussex, PO21 2EU

Walcott House is situated in Bognor Regis and provides nine en-suite bedrooms. The house provides spacious accommodation and communal areas including two lounges, a sensory room, and a fully enclosed garden. The seaside town of Bognor Regis has an excellent range of community facilities and amenities. It has direct train access to London and good train and road links across the south.

Walcott House provides a specialist residential service for all gender identities who have a learning disability, or who are autistic, and have behaviours which, due to their diagnosis, may be of concern/distress. Residents may also have profound and multiple communication difficulties, sensory impairments, and physical health problems.
