Role Description
The Support Worker role at Blossom Living is a temp-perm, on-site position based in Colchester. In this role, the Support Worker will provide day-to-day practical and emotional support to young people aged 16–18, helping them develop life skills and move toward independence. Responsibilities include supporting individual support plans, encouraging personal development, assisting with daily routines, and promoting a safe, inclusive environment. The Support Worker will also collaborate with colleagues and external professionals, maintain accurate records, and follow safeguarding and organisational policies to ensure the wellbeing of each young person.

Qualifications/Experience
- Experience as Support Workers or in similar support or care roles, with a focus on young people’s development
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful environment
- Basic Technical Support capabilities, including using digital software for record-keeping
- Empathy, patience, and resilience
- Ability to work on-site in Colchester, including some flexibility in working hours as needed
- Relevant training or qualifications in social care, youth work, or a related field are beneficial
