Support Worker
Support Worker – Ynys Môn
As a Support Worker in various locations across Ynys Môn, you’ll help create meaningful moments that enhance the lives of the individuals we support. With a focus on learning disabilities, your role is key to enabling a fulfilling and vibrant community life for those in our care.
The Role
Location: Ynys Môn Hours: Part-time or full-time. Shift patterns include weekends and sleep-ins. Salary:
- £13.59 per hour (plus £60 per night for sleep-in shifts)
- 55p per mile travel reimbursement Contract: Permanent
No prior experience is required—full training is provided.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Empower choice and independence: Help individuals make decisions—whether daily (clothing, meals, activities) or life-altering (housing, finances, holidays).
- Encourage skill development: Participate in structured activities to build confidence and promote progress.
- Provide practical support: Assist with bills, home maintenance, social connections, and daily responsibilities while respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Focus on well-being: Create memorable experiences that bring joy, purpose, and fulfillment to everyday life.

What We Look for
We welcome applicants who:
- Have patience and empathy when supporting individuals.
- Can provide personal care with respect, dignity, and discretion.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Are able to represent individuals effectively to professionals and others.
- Have strong written skills (ability to document incidents with empathy and clarity).
- Hold a full UK driving licence (essential for transporting individuals to appointments/activities). (Note: If required, access to your own vehicle is supported with mileage reimbursement and business insurance coverage.)
Training is provided, so previous experience isn’t necessary—but enthusiasm and a genuine desire to help make a difference is vital.
