Support Worker

Mission and Vision: Codi Group

Codi is a not-for-profit dedicated to creating a positive impact. As Wales’ largest provider of housing, care, and support, we’re committed to helping people live well, feel supported, and reach their fullest potential.

Every day, our dedicated teams support nearly 17,000 individuals across Wales by delivering life-changing services that improve their daily lives.

We are guided by our name, ‘Codi’, which means ‘rise’ in Welsh. Our journey reflects this aspiration— aspirations for communities, for each person we support, and for ourselves as a resilient and values-driven organisation.

About the Role

Community Support Worker (Independent Living)

Our specialist community support service, tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac, provides independent living for five men and one woman with physical disabilities.

What you’ll do: Each independent resident lives in their own self-contained ground-floor flat, complete with the comfort of a close-knit, supportive community and an on-site office.

You’ll be inspiring resilience and independence every day, celebrating every small win as individuals build confidence and skills. Your focus will be on empowering the residents to shape their own lives authentically.

The Active Support Approach: We champion the **"do with, not for" philosophy. By encouraging residents to participate in activities—whether it’s hitting the gym, cheering at a rugby match, or going shopping—you’ll witness first-hand the transformative impact of enabling true independence.

You’ll support with key aspects of daily living, including:

  • Daily Living Support:
    • Personal care, medication management
    • Cooking, household chores, and cleaning assistance
  • Community & Social Engagement:
    • Attending appointments, navigating community groups, advocating their interests
    • Leading meaningful activities, such as walks, hobbies, and social events
  • Companionship & Wellbeing:
    • Building meaningful connections through shared interests
    • Offering honest, empathetic emotional support
  • Skill Development & Independence:
    • Handling finances, budgeting, and practical life skills
    • Boosting confidence for day-to-day tasks
  • Teamwork & Documentation:
    • Collaborative leadership, participation, and clear, accurate record-keeping
    • Implementing creative, personalised solutions that benefit the whole group
  • Adaptability:
    • Tailoring support to each resident’s specific needs
    • Supporting occasionally on your own, and seeing your ideas implemented

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
