Care & Support Worker – Supported Living (Leeds)

We are looking for a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare.
About the Role
Whether you're new to working within care or have experience this role is for you. You’ll be working full-time (42 hours/week) in 12-hour shifts, including alternate weekends (four shifts in week one, three shifts in week two, on a two-week rolling rota), days only, at Gotts Park – Yorkshire Supported Living, Leeds.
Core Purpose
Working in Supported Living in Leeds offers eighteen tenancies, providing person-centred and tailored care for individuals with:
- Complex mental health needs
- Learning disabilities
- Autism
- Challenging behaviours
Our service empowers tenants to live more independently with registered housing association tenancies, using a personalised support approach.

Including people who have previously been detained in hospital and are now preparing for a step-down placement into the community.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding care with a flexible learning approach for all individuals in your care
- Guide and encourage service users through physical and emotional support
- Learn about each individual’s unique needs and provide appropriate assistance
- Assist with and report on medical and welfare needs
- Safeguarding: Prioritise safety and promote rights
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for service users
- Encourage independence through community engagement, including:
- Access to work or college
- Participation in hobbies and activities
- Community outings and holidays
- Support personal growth through daily tasks such as:
- Cooking
- Cleaning
Requirements
You will be:
- Truly motivated, with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives

- Sensitive and intuitive, providing a trusting, stimulating, and varied support environment

Salary: £13.15/hour, rising to £13.45/hour after three months (£29,435.70/annum in first year), progressing to £13.70/hour after 18 months
