Support Worker (Dementia & Nursing Care)

Location: Hatzfeld Care Ltd – Hollinwell, NG17 7BT Salary: £12.88 per hour


About the Role

Hatzfeld Care Ltd invites passionate, compassionate individuals to join its dedicated team at their newly renovated, state-of-the-art care home. This home is designed to deliver exceptional dementia and nursing care in a warm, welcoming environment that prioritises comfort, dignity, and independence for residents—while providing an outstanding workplace for staff.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your role will involve direct person-centred care, collaboration with residents and families, and upholding our skills-focused working environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Dementia and Nursing Support:
    • Provide compassionate care tailored to individual needs for residents with dementia and complex care requirements.
    • Encourage and support independence while respecting choices, preferences, and dignity.

  • Person-Centred Assistance:

    • Help with personal care, daily activities, and meaningful engagement.
    • Develop or reinforce existing life skills, fostering confidence and wellbeing.
  • Key Worker Responsibilities:

    • Be the designated Key Worker for assigned residents, planning and reviewing personalised care plans.
    • Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and external agencies to ensure holistic care.
  • Administrative & Professional Accountability:

    • Maintain accurate care records and update digital care systems accurately.
    • Assist with or administer medications as per company policies and training.
    • Participate in resident meetings to promote choice and inclusion.
  • Teamwork & Continuous Development:

    • Attend supervision sessions, team meetings, and training to enhance skills and professional standards.
    • Support a collaborative and flexible team environment meeting the needs of the home.
    • Uphold the organisational values of compassion, dignity, and excellence in care.

Job Requirements

Hatzfeld Care Ltd is seeking candidates with:

  • A reliable, trustworthy, and professional attitude.
  • A caring, positive mindset with a genuine passion for improving residents' lives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with residents, their families, and colleagues.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and person-centred approach to care.

Previous experience: While experience working with dementia or mental health support is desirable, it is not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidate.
