Support Worker (Driver)

Support Worker - Grimsby, North Lincolnshire Full-Time | £12.85 per hour

About the Role

Creative Support, a passionate, inclusive, and anti-racist organisation, is seeking a kind, patient, and caring individual to join their friendly team as a Support Worker in Grimsby, North Lincolnshire.

This role focuses on supporting:

  • Adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • Individuals at risk of offending
  • People with mental health conditions

Responsibilities include providing excellent person-centred care, helping service users develop everyday living skills, and facilitating participation in a variety of activities. The right candidate will demonstrate:

  • Superior communication skills
  • Ability to work with positive behaviour support
  • Capacity to build trusting and friendly rapport
  • Compliance with local and corporate policies while exemplifying dignified service delivery

The role offers energetic, varied work with on-site activities and personalised support planning for independence (both practical and emotional).

Responsibilities

  • Visit service users in their homes or other settings for tailored support
  • Assist individuals in living independently through daily practical help
  • Provide emotional support in alignment with their individual support plans
  • Foster a positive, trusting relationship with service users and colleagues
  • Adhere to Creative Support’s policies and safeguarding guidelines

Requirements

  • No prior care experience is necessary—full training provided!
  • Ability to perform tasks individually or as part of a team
  • Competence in building rapport with diverse, vulnerable individuals
  • Reliability and commitment to helping others thrive
