Support Worker

Support Worker Vacancy

Location: Pershore Resource Centre Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8.40 AM – 4:00 PM) Salary: £23,456 - £23,824 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

Worcestershire County Council’s enthusiastic and experienced teams are looking for passionate Support Workers to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.


THE SERVICE

Our Resource Centre supports individuals with:

  • Complex Learning Disabilities
  • Physical needs
  • Mental Health
  • Autism
  • Other related health and social care needs

Key Aspects of Our Support

We implement:

  • Health action plans
  • Eating and drinking plans
  • Behaviour management plans
  • Epilepsy plans
  • Robust risk assessments

Requirements

Essential Skills & Qualities

  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a sense of humour
  • Strong communication (written and verbal)
  • Empathy and considerate approach
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative
  • Good recording skills (computer literacy is advantageous)

Desired Experience

  • Previous experience supporting people with care and support needs
  • Understanding of learning disabilities and the rights of individuals with these needs
