Support Worker
Support Worker Vacancy
Location: Pershore Resource Centre Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8.40 AM – 4:00 PM) Salary: £23,456 - £23,824 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)

Worcestershire County Council’s enthusiastic and experienced teams are looking for passionate Support Workers to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
THE SERVICE
Our Resource Centre supports individuals with:
- Complex Learning Disabilities
- Physical needs
- Mental Health
- Autism
- Other related health and social care needs
Key Aspects of Our Support
We implement:
- Health action plans
- Eating and drinking plans
- Behaviour management plans
- Epilepsy plans
- Robust risk assessments

Mobility Note
Some individuals are very mobile, while others use wheelchairs or walking aids, requiring moving and handling tasks.
Requirements
Essential Skills & Qualities
- Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a sense of humour
- Strong communication (written and verbal)
- Empathy and considerate approach
- Ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative
- Good recording skills (computer literacy is advantageous)
Desired Experience
- Previous experience supporting people with care and support needs
- Understanding of learning disabilities and the rights of individuals with these needs
