The Role
We’re seeking experienced, compassionate Support Workers to join our dedicated team in delivering comprehensive care and support.

Note: Roles involve evenings, weekends, potential lone working, overnight shifts/sleep-ins. Confidence, self-motivation, and resilience are essential. A UK driving licence (clean/full) is required for some roles.
Potential gender-specific roles (females-only required for Genuine Occupational Qualification (GOQ) compliance).
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Support emotional, physical, medical, and spiritual wellbeing
- Deliver trauma-informed, person-centred care
- Empower individuals to make independent life decisions
- Promote independence, confidence, and daily living skills (e.g., budgeting, home maintenance)
- Build meaningful relationships for social inclusion
- Monitor wellbeing and respond safely to risks/behaviours of concern
- Maintain accurate records (personal care plans, assessments)
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and professionals
- Administer medication safely (with training & policy compliance)
- Conduct mandatory training and adhere to safeguarding standards

About You
We’re looking for a candidate who: 🔹 Communicates through empathy, clarity, and emotional intelligence 🔹 Has knowledge of Autism (preferred but not essential) 🔹 Demonstrates compassion, kindness, and resilience 🔹 Handles pressure calmly and responds effectively to challenges 🔹 Builds trusting relationships (1:1 or small-group settings) 🔹 Is organized, flexible, and self-driven 🔹 Upholds safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion 🔹 Is confident in IT systems and precise documentation
Essential: ✅ GCSE Maths & English, or equivalent equivalence ✅ Work/volunteer experience in care or disability support preferred (Advantageous but not mandatory: learning disability or autism-specific experience)
Our Services
We’re recruiting across three across-learning-disability services:
1. Carroll Close (Non-drivers acceptable)
- Role: Supported living for two individuals with complex needs in separate flats within a converted house.
- Care Model: Structured, person-centred support plans.

- Role: Supported living for two young men with health and learning-support needs.
- Activity: Active social life; 1:1 or 2:1 support.
3. Cherry Orchard (Female staff only, drivers mandatory)
- Role: Supported living for two young women with similar needs.
- Activity: Social inclusion; 1:1 and 2:1 support.
