Support Worker

💰 £13.00 per hour – Full-Time / Part-Time – Blackpool, Lancashire

About the Role

Are you looking for a rewarding career that is stimulating and varied each day?

Creative Support are seeking warm, reliable, and proactive Support Workers to join our Dual Diagnosis Service in Blackpool. You will provide quality recovery support to individuals with diverse needs, including:

  • Mental health support
  • Drug and/or alcohol misuse
  • Complex needs
  • Individuals with an offending history

Key Responsibilities

  • Medication management: Prompting/oversight of prescribed medications
  • Domestic assistance: Supporting individuals with daily living tasks
  • Administrative duties: Maintaining accurate records and writing support plans for service users
  • Holistic support: Helping individuals access physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing services
  • Flexible working: Willingness to cover daytimes, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, including lone working and sleep-in shifts
  • Empathetic approach: Adopting a positive, collaborative mindset to meet diverse support needs

Requirements

✅ Personality & skills:

  • Strong empathy and ability to work independently while remaining a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive and solution-focused approach to customer care

🔹 Preferred:

  • Experience in community-based support services

🚗 Travel & location:

  • Ability to drive is strongly preferred due to the nature of the role

Essential:

  • Eligibility and ability to work within the UK (No sponsorship or Skilled Worker Visas accepted)
