About The Jays
The Jays is a brand new, person-centred care support service in Merthyr Tydfil, tailored for adults living with complex mental health conditions. As a Support Worker, your role will involve all aspects of daily care, independence facilitation, and holistic support.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll provide the following critical support:
- Daily assistance with routine and personal care needs
- Encouraging independence to enable fulfilling, autonomous lives
- Personal skills development through hobbies, interests, and creative engagement
- Healthcare support, including medication administration and appointment accompaniment
- Life skills training such as budgeting, bill paying, and shopping
- Assistance with personal care as required
- Domestic support, including cleaning and cooking
- Emotional and physical guidance through compassionate, detrimental care
