Support Worker - Merthyr Tydfil
Support Worker Location: Merthyr Tydfil Salary: £13.45 - £14.15 per hour Hours: 35hrs per week Requirements: Full UK driving licence
About the Role
As a Support Worker at Keys, you’ll provide person-centred support to individuals with mental health needs, autism, learning disabilities, or acquired brain injuries. Your role involves fostering independence while assisting in everyday routines, delivering therapeutic support, and enhancing quality of life through tailored interventions. We currently support over 1,000 individuals across England and Wales, helping them live more independently and with greater confidence.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting the day-to-day routines and personal well-being of those we care for
- Encouraging independence through practical assistance and skill development
- Facilitating self-improvement via hobbies, interests, and personal goals
- Managing healthcare needs, including accompanying individuals to appointments and administering medications
- Teaching essential life skills such as budgeting, bill-paying, and shopping
- Assisting with personal care and domestic tasks (cleaning, cooking, etc.)
- Offering guidance and encouragement, including physical, emotional, and therapeutic support
