Female Support Worker Vacancy – Supported Living Service (Waking Nights), Southport (PR8)
About the Role
Community Integrated Care is seeking 1 x Female Support Worker for our Supported Living Service in Southport (PR8). Shifts are Waking Nights (8pm–8am, 3x per week, 36hrs per week) to support a new resident moving into ** dedicated accommodation within the house**.
The role will focus on providing person-centred support while fostering independence. You’ll be paired with one individual for your entire shift, offering continuity and stability.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support, encouragement, and patience – our resident requires time to process information and build trusting relationships.
- Support with personal care, medication administration (ensure familiarity with PBS approach for behaviour support), and daily living tasks (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, time management).
- Create sensory-stimulating activities tailored to the resident’s interests, balancing engagement while avoiding overstimulation.
- Recognise personal triggers (e.g., noisy or crowded environments) and offer flexible adjustments to maintain comfort.
- Ensure safety and well-being while promoting long-term independence.

About Our Resident
Background
A 46-year-old female with a primary diagnosis of learning disability, autism, and mental health challenges. She is verbal but may need extra time to respond.

Requirements
- Female staff only for this role due to preference of our resident
- Ability to be approachable, trustworthy, and flexible in adapting tasks
- Familiarity or willingness to engage with behavioural support principles (PBS)
- No experience strictly required—we hire based on heart, empathy, and openness.
