Care & Support Worker (Huddersfield – Gledcliffe Supported Living)

About the Role
We’re seeking a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding healthcare. This full-time role (42 hours per week) operates on a 12-hour shift basis, with alternate weekend work (4 shifts in week one, 3 shifts in week two) and requires nights-only shifts on a rolling 2-week rota.
Your shift pattern will be:
- Week 1: 4 shifts (including alternate weekends)
- Week 2: 3 shifts (Repeats bi-weekly)
The Service: Supported Living (Huddersfield, Gledcliffe)
This role is based at our Gledcliffe site, supporting six tenancies for individuals with:
- Complex mental health needs
- Learning disabilities
- Autism
- Challenging behaviours
Our team empowers clients to live more independently in private tenancies, registered with a housing association. We provide personalised, tailored support to help them achieve lives they deserve.
We serve individuals who may have experienced detention in hospital settings but are now ready for step-down residential placements within the local community.
Your Key Responsibilities
Your role will include the following core duties:
Client-Centred Care
- Deliver enhanced care with a flexible, learning-focused approach for every individual in our care
- Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
- Tailor care to each individual’s specific needs

Healthcare & Wellbeing Support
- Assist with and monitor medical and welfare needs, ensuring all reports are accurate
- Maintain safeguarding protocols consistently
