Night Support Worker – Complex Needs

Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex
Salary: £13.85 per hour
Hours: 35.88 hours per week (rolling night rota Monday - Sunday)

Are you an experienced Support Worker with a background in autism, complex needs?

SDR is opening a brand-new, highly personalised specialist support service in Eastbourne for a young individual with autism, ADHD, a learning disability, and complex emotional needs.

We are looking for calm, compassionate and resilient professionals who can provide consistent overnight support, promote wellbeing, and help maintain a safe and structured environment.

This is not a generic support role. It is a small, highly focused service where relationships, consistency and skilled support make a genuine difference.

About the Role

As a Night Support Worker, you will provide high-quality overnight support, ensuring the individual feels safe, comfortable and supported throughout the night.

  • Providing person-centred overnight support.
  • Promoting a calm and reassuring environment.
  • Completing regular welfare checks and responding to support needs.
  • Following Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and personalised care plans.
  • Completing accurate records and handovers.
  • Working closely with the wider team to ensure continuity of care.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people who are:

  • Experienced in supporting people with autism, learning disabilities or complex needs.
  • Calm, patient and emotionally resilient.
  • Confident following Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches.
  • Reliable, consistent and able to work independently during night shifts.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Excellent communicators who work well within a team.

What We Offer

  • £13.85 per hour.
  • 208 hours annual leave (including bank holidays, pro rata).
