Support Worker
Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals!
Mencap is seeking a passionate Support Worker to join our incredible teams, based in March, Cambridgeshire.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with daily activities
- Providing emotional support
- Play[ing] a vital role in their life
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for supporting others
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities
Contract & Shift Information
- 35 hours per week available
- All services operate as 24hr care
- Rotas are prepared 4 weeks in advance to assist with personal and social planning
- Shift times include:
- Weekdays and weekends
- Bank holidays
- Sleep-ins (when required)
- Sleep-ins are paid at an enhanced flat rate rate of £64.20
- All roles require an enhanced DBS check and suitable references
