About the Role
We are seeking passionate, committed, and compassionate individuals to join our team delivering high-quality Intensive Housing Management support within our hostel services in Long Eaton.
As a Support Worker, you will provide housing-related support to adults experiencing homelessness, helping individuals to achieve stability, develop independence, and move towards positive long-term outcomes.
Working as a key worker, you will build trusting relationships with the people you work alongside, promoting independence, and supporting individuals to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to sustain their tenancies and achieve their goals. You will create and review person-centred support plans, complete risk assessments, manage tenancy-related needs, and help residents access local services and opportunities.
Working in a hostel environment, you will collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to deliver coordinated, effective support. We are looking for flexible, adaptable individuals who are committed to supporting people experiencing homelessness. The role requires participation in a rota, including evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays, and occasional short-notice cover. If you are passionate about helping people achieve independence and stability, we would love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
