Learning Support Worker Vacancy: Cranleigh

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have at least six months of experience providing dedicated support in an SEN environment? If so, we want to hear from you.

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Workers to join a vibrant and supportive team in Cranleigh. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, empowering students to reach their full potential.

The Role

As a Learning Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting students with SEN to access their education, develop essential skills, and build confidence. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with a range of special educational needs.
  • Assisting with the implementation of individualized learning plans.
  • Adapting learning materials and activities to meet diverse needs.
  • Fostering a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Supporting students with their social, emotional, and communication development.
  • Collaborating effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals.
  • Monitoring and recording student progress.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of six months experience in a formal setting supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to their development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • A proactive and adaptable attitude.

Relevant qualifications in education or SEN support are desirable but not essential for experienced candidates.
