Support Worker
Support Worker – Campania Care Home
Location: Weston-super-Mare, near the seafront and pier
Specialism: Specialist support for individuals with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff’s syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage (ARBD). Care for up to 41 residents in a spacious Victorian home.
About the Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred support in a specialist complex care setting, supporting individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily routines, including:
- Personal care
- Mobility support
- Mealtime assistance
- Promote independence, safety, comfort and dignity at all times
- Respond sensitively to changing needs, contributing to a calm, stable environment
- Work closely with the wider team to follow individual care plans and structured routines
- Build positive relationships with residents, fostering a supportive atmosphere that enhances wellbeing and confidence

Salary & Benefits
- £12.71–£13.21 per hour (paid weekly)
- 40.25 hours per week (alternate weekend shifts)
- Working hours: 06:45 AM – 07:00 PM
- Paid DBS check
- Pension scheme contributions
- Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro-rated for part-time contracts)
Person Specification
Essential
- Kind, patient and compassionate approach toward residents and colleagues
- Willingness to learn and develop in a care setting
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable and professional attitude

- Previous care experience
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Care Certificate, NVQ in Health & Social Care)
