Complex Care – Healthcare Support Worker

£13.00–£22 per hour (with night shift, weekend, and bank holiday enhancements)

About the Role
We are seeking motivated and driven healthcare support workers to join our thriving team at OneCall24 Healthcare in Bridgwater. This exciting opportunity involves supporting a dynamic and vibrant gentleman with a spinal injury, who enjoys sports (especially cricket and football) and loves community outings.
You will play a key role in delivering personalised, person-centred care aligned with a detailed care plan tailored to your client’s unique needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality care in line with national care standards and our client’s individualised care plan
- Support with physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions
- Assist with spinal care, managing autonomic dysreflexia and medication administration
- Encourage engagement in leisure activities (e.g., sports, community events)
- Work flexibly and enthusiastically within a 24-hour support model
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Key Requirements
- Experience or willingness to learn in:
- Spinal injury care
- Managing autonomic dysreflexia
- Medication administration (training provided if needed)
- Commitment to person-centred values
- Reliable transport is essential for outreach visits
