Job Location: Gelynnen SA39 9HS
Employment Type: Full-time 37.5 hours per week
Base Salary: Up to £12.60 per hour

Full Job Description

Join our passionate team at M&D Care as a Support Worker and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults. We are looking for staff who wish to work NIGHTS only, as well as staff who can meet a full rota to include day and night shifts. As a Support Worker, you will provide emotional and practical care in a residential setting. No experience is necessary as full training will be given, but having the right values is important to us. THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE WORKING NIGHTS.

M&D Care are an established family-oriented business, which is run by a passionate team of professionals who deliver specialist, complex and bespoke care services throughout Southwest Wales for people with Learning Disability, Physical Disability and Mental Health needs. We believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to succeed and to achieve their goals and aspirations in life however big or small these may be.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
  • Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and shopping.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and well-being through engaging and meaningful activities.
  • Work autonomously while maintaining the safety and respect of those you support.
  • Comply with regulatory standards set by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.
  • Work flexibly on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Additional Information

  • A variety of contracted hours available (22.5 to 45 hours per week)
  • Shift patterns vary and include weekends and night shifts on a rota basis
  • No prior experience required – full training provided
  • Opportunity to gain a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care after probation, with full support

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for providing excellent care
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Must be aged 18 or over

You will be required to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK
