Who are Codi Group?

Codi is a not-for-profit with a big heart and an even bigger mission. As Wales’ largest provider of housing, care, and support, we’re here to help people live well, feel supported, and rise to their full potential.

Every day, our teams support nearly 17,000 individuals across Wales with services that make a real and uplifting difference to their everyday lives.

Our name says it all: ‘Codi’ means rise in Welsh. It reflects who we are, where we come from, and our ambition to lift expectations, lift communities, and lift each other.

About the role

You’ll be based in a unique, spacious six-bedroom home with two communal living areas and a large garden, currently home to five individuals (two females and three males aged between 22 and 70), all with learning disabilities. They’re sociable, full of personality, and enjoy getting out into the community, with easy access to local transport links nearby.

Each person has their own routine, though flexibility is key, as plans can change day-to-day depending on needs and preferences. Encouragement plays a big part, whether that’s supporting someone to leave the house, try new activities, or take part in the community.

Your role will include a variety of meaningful tasks such as helping with daily living skills, cooking, shopping (both in-store and online), and maintaining the home, alongside administrative responsibilities like scheduling appointments, contacting GPs, and reporting maintenance issues.

You’ll also support individuals to engage with their hobbies and interests, from dining out at restaurants to exploring passions such as steam trains, vintage cars, watching programmes, or attending community events like car shows. Creativity and a willingness to seek out new opportunities for engagement are key to this role.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting a sociable group to stay active in the community, with great local transport links nearby
  • Encouraging independence through a “do with, not do for” approach, adapting to individual routines and day-to-day changes
  • Promoting community involvement, hobbies, and new experiences, from meals out to interests like steam trains, vintage cars and events
  • Supporting with daily living tasks including cooking, shopping (in-store and online), and maintaining a comfortable home environment
  • Providing light personal care where needed (mainly prompts and supervision), along with medication support
  • Completing admin tasks such as booking appointments, contacting GPs, budgeting support, and maintaining accurate digital records
  • Driving individuals to activities and appointments while offering companionship, emotional support, and bringing fresh ideas to the team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
