Supported Housing Officer

Housing & Tenancy Manager – Supported Housing

About the Role

This role delivers end-to-end housing and tenancy management across supported housing schemes. Key responsibilities include:

Core Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for residents
  • Oversee tenancy start-ups, occupancy, move-ons, and re-lettings
  • Provide intensive support to individuals with complex needs
  • Balance enforcement with a supportive approach to sustain tenancies
  • Manage rent accounts and arrears
  • Oversee allocations and voids
  • Address anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches in compliance with policy
  • Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are met
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Coordinate delivery of high-quality housing services
  • Maintain accurate records and performance data

The role demands executional excellence, ensuring safe, effective housing and positive resident outcomes.


About You

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in housing and tenancy management, ideally within supported or vulnerable housing
  • Deep understanding of relevant legislation, including:
    • Tenancy enforcement
    • Anti-social behaviour
    • Safeguarding
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse, complex-needs residents
  • Strong IT proficiency for case management, accurate record-keeping, and clear documentation
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize effectively, and work flexibly to meet service demands
