Supporter Services Executive - 6 month FTC, CANCER RESEARCH UK

Supporter Service Executive

Salary: £25,826 plus benefits

Reports to: Supporter Services Manager Directorate: Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement Contract: Fixed-term (6 months) with possibility of extension or permanent role Hours: Full-time (35/hour, 8am–8pm rotation, 10 days within any 14, including 2 weekend shifts in 6) Location: Home-based (UK only)

Closing dates:

  • External: 6 July, 23:55
  • Internal: 12 July 2026, 23:55

Interviews: From 20 July 2026

Recruitment Process: 1-stage competency-based interview.

You’ll work closely with supporters, offering exceptional, solution-oriented support through calls, emails, live chat, and social media. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver personalised supporter service via all channels (phone, email, live chat, social media).
  • Listen empathetically to understand supporter needs and respond with patience and professionalism.
  • Promote CRUK campaigns, products, and services during interactions.
  • Act as an information specialist, staying updated on campaigns and services.
  • Drive fundraising opportunities and enhance supporter engagement.
  • Maintain high accuracy in fast, emotionally charged situations.

Key Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service (call centre experience advantageous).
  • High-confidence phone communication – confident call control.
  • Proven ability to handle challenging interactions with tact.
  • Strong collaborative skills – ability to work well in a team.
  • Professional writing skills (emails, correspondence).
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) + multi-system versatility.
  • Rigorous attention to detail and information retention.
  • Independent working – self-prioritising after induction.
  • Goal-oriented mindset – proactive, results-driven approach.
