About the role

We are currently seeking Surfacing / Tarmac operatives to work on large surfacing contracts across Cornwall and Devon. Various roles available including Paver Drivers, Screwmen, Roller Drivers, Banksmen, etc. So whatever experience you have we might have the opportunity for you.

  • Work as an efficient team
  • Ensure all plant and equipment is checked, safe and maintained
  • Ensure PPE is worn at all times and is kept clean
  • Provide support and encouragement to less experienced operatives
  • Ensure work is carried out to the highest standard of quality

The successful candidate will be working on major surfacing contracts across the South West.

What we’re looking for

  • We are looking for positive, enthusiastic individuals who have a love for asphalt.
  • Various levels of experienced tarmac operatives
  • Or
  • Experienced civils operatives with some tarmac knowledge
  • Previous surfacing experience
  • CSCS card
  • NPORS / CPCS cards desirable
  • Driving Licence

Our offer to you

Salary: £25,948 - £37,173 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Working Hours: 37 or 45 (depending on position)
Contract Type: Permanent
Base: Cornwall or Devon
Close date: Midnight Thursday 30th July 2026
