About the Role
The Surfacing Manager / Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day management and delivery of surfacing operations across site, coordinating multiple teams to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and on programme.
Job Details
- Location: Bellshill, Glasgow
- Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
- Working Arrangement: 5 days per week on site (no remote working)
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management & Coordination
- Manage and coordinate two surfacing teams, ensuring works align with project specifications, programme timelines, and quality standards.
- Oversee daily site operations, including planning, labour allocation, plant management, and material distribution, to meet delivery targets.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all activities comply with method statements, risk assessments, and health and safety protocols.
- Maintain a strong safety culture through supervision, training, and leading by example.

Site Efficiency & Standards
- Supervise site activities to uphold productivity, performance, and high standards of workmanship.
- Identify and address potential delays, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with site engineers, subcontractors, and senior management to facilitate effective project delivery.
- Monitor progress and maintain open lines of communication with all parties.

- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, permits, and quality documentation.
- Ensure plant, equipment, and workforce compliance with safety regulations.

- Lead by example to reinforce responsibility and professionalism on site.
