Dermatology Coordinator - Leadership & Coordination Opportunity

NB: Banding for this vacancy is subject to Agenda for Change banding framework

Role Overview

An inspiring opportunity to Lead, coordinate and drive excellence in Dermatology for our expanding service.

You will play a pivotal role by supporting high-quality patient care, coordinating patient pathways, monitoring performance metrics and ensuring adherence to:

  • Cancer Waiting Time standards
  • Referral to Treatment (RTT) targets

Collaboratively engaging with clinical and operational teams, this position focuses on:

  • Supporting safe, efficient service delivery
  • Risk identification & mitigation
  • Continuous quality improvement
  • Guaranteeing timely, effective patient care

Key Responsibilities

Core Working Program:

  • Execute leadership functions within the Dermatology department to ensure smooth and safe service operation
  • Performance oversight: Monitor KPIs including patients, funding, and resource allocation
  • Decision support: Provide actionable data to guide strategic & financial decisions
  • Future planning: Collaborate on service expansion with material impact on staff and patient requirements

Quality & Improvement Focus Areas:

  • Advocate for and implement quality improvements
  • Cultivate enhanced patient experience & satisfaction
  • Foster staff engagement via feedback mechanisms

Risk & Issue Governance:

  • Active risk management: Proactive identification of risks
  • Incident tracking: Comprehensive recording of issues and swift resolution
  • Ensure risis mitigation alignment with organisational priorities
