Surgery Nursing Technical Assistant (SNTA) – Job Description
The SNTA is trained to assist and support the Surgical Services of the Operating Room (OR) Surgical Team, the patients, the Sterile Processing Team, and other hospital personnel, including but not limited to the Surgical Service Line. The SNTA plays a vital role as an integral part of the surgical team, executing a wide variety of tasks quickly and accurately. This role demands an appreciation for the magnitude and scope of its responsibilities, as its proper execution directly impacts the care of patients, the OR Surgical Team, the Surgical Service Line, and the overall function of RRMC (Rutland Regional Medical Center).

Minimum Education
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
Minimum Work Experience
- 1 Year of Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) experience in a hospital setting
- Prior experience in a operating room (OR) or surgical setting
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record system is desirable
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Current Vermont State Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) License
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association

- Maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced, high-efficiency environment
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills
- Demonstrated basic computer skills and efficiency with electronic systems
Pay Range: $21.96 – $31.99 per hour
