About the Role
The Survey Division at GAP hires a range of specialist equipment, including robotic total stations, GPS kits, construction lasers, and other survey & safety products, serving sectors such as construction, utilities, and infrastructure.
The Role
What You'll Be Doing
As a Survey & Safety Technician, your core responsibility lies in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of our hire equipment, ensuring all items returned and dispatched to customers are in optimal condition. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting detailed safety checks, calibration, and servicing of all survey & safety equipment before dispatch.
- Managing all necessary documentation and compliance checks to meet industry standards.
- Collaborating with internal teams to support equipment adherence with manufacturer specifications.
- Upholding workshop ** organisation and equipment inventory**, ensuring sufficient stock availability for high-demand hire requests.
- This role offers manufacturer training and regular upskilling opportunities. The ideal candidate will showcase a strong attention to detail, disciplined diligence, and a willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment.

About You
What We're Looking For
We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Experience as a survey technician, preferably within a busy depot or similar high-volume environment.
- Equipment diagnostics and repair skills, particularly for survey equipment and hire machinery.
- Ability to work independently and support colleagues as part of a team.
- High IT proficiency (especially Microsoft Word and Excel).
- A full UK driving licence is a requirement.
