Placement Surveyor Programme

What is our Placement Surveyor programme?

Our Placement Surveying programme is a 12-month programme designed to give you a comprehensive exposure to surveying within Utilities & Infrastructure. Through working on live projects, learning from industry experts and networking opportunities, we will help you to build your technical and professional skills needed for a career and to make the valuable contributions towards your academic fulfilments for your degree.

What does the job involve?

In a nutshell, our Placement Surveyors will be working on utilities and infrastructure projects helping to manage land-related issues during the development of infrastructure like pipelines, power lines, or roads. Their role includes negotiating access agreements, assessing and handling compensation claims for landowners, ensuring compliance with regulations, and minimising the impact of projects on agricultural land and rural properties. You will act as the valuable intermediary between our clients and landowners, overseeing effective land access and management while ensuring fair compensation and resolving disputes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
