Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Surveyor role based in Langley Vale. The Surveyor will carry out land and topographical surveys, set out works for construction activities, and verify site measurements and levels to support engineering and infrastructure projects.

  • Operating surveying instruments
  • Collecting and validating field data
  • Preparing survey drawings and reports
  • Collaborating with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications

The Surveyor will also be expected to:

  • Follow health, safety, and quality standards
  • Maintain survey equipment
  • Support the resolution of site-related technical issues
  • Regularly coordinate with project stakeholders
  • Communicate survey findings in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Strong technical surveying skills, including experience with total stations, GPS/GNSS, laser scanners, and related instruments.
  • Ability to collect, process, and interpret survey data using CAD or survey software, and produce clear drawings and documentation.
  • Knowledge of construction and civil engineering practices, site setting-out, and relevant standards and regulations.
  • Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to verify measurements and resolve discrepancies on site.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practices in all site activities.
  • Relevant qualification in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional registration or working towards membership with a recognized surveying or engineering body is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in infrastructure, construction, or energy projects is beneficial, particularly within a regulated environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to work outdoors in varying site conditions.
