Surveyor (Fire Stopping / Compartmentation)
Location: Luton or surrounding area (e.g. Reading) Salary: £38,000 + benefits, including paid travel time, company van & fuel card
NEO Property Solutions is part of PTSG, a specialist passive fire protection business. Our expertise focuses on fire compartmentation and fire doors in occupied premises such as schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, care homes, and social housing/council properties.
About the Role
A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced surveyor to join our fire compartmentation team. You must possess a strong understanding of fire safety, building compliance, and the importance of the work you’re delivering.
Key requirements:
- Must be a team player who can support colleagues effectively.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workloads, and organise efficiently.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to keeping people safe.
- Expert knowledge of fire safety legislation, including Approved Document B and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 in the social housing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting inspections of cavities, loft spaces, below-floor voids, ceilings & boxed-in areas.
- Engaging in friendly, effective customer communication.
- demonstration of knowledge on products such as Rockwool, Hilti & Quelfire.
- Using reporting systems (Bolster / One Serve) and maintaining accurate record-keeping.
- High attention to detail in all surveying tasks.

Required Skills & Experience
- Surveying experience in both private and public sector properties.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Strong attention to detail, both verbal and written communication skills.
- IT proficiency — ability to use Microsoft Suite and Tablet/PDA systems.
- A relevant professional qualification, such as the Certificate in Applied Fire Risk Assessment, or significant experience in Fire Safety Management.
Must demonstrate:
- Detailed knowledge of current regulations and best practices in fire safety.
- Specialised technical skills alignment with fire safety management requirements.
Desirable Qualifications
- FIRAS Card Holder (Technician or Supervisory level).
- Level NVQ2 in Passive Fire Protection (if applicable).
- IOSH Managing Safely (Safety management certification).
- Pasma (Manual handling equipment competency).
- Emergency First Aid.
- Asbestos Awareness Training.
Location & Compensation
- Location: Luton or surrounding area (includes Reading).
- Benefits:
- Up to £38,000 basic salary.
- Company van provided, with a fuel card (work use only).
- Paid travel time.
