Surveyor (Fire Stopping / Compartmentation)
Location: Luton or Surrounding area (e.g. Reading)
Salary: Up to £38k + travel time + company van + benefits
NEO Property Solutions, a specialist passive fire protection business, part of PTSG, focuses on Fire Compartmentation and Fire Doors. Our primary work spans occupied premises like schools, colleges, universities, hospitals, care homes, and housing association/council properties.
About the Role
A unique opportunity has emerged for an experienced fire safety surveyor to join our compartmentation team. You’ll need a deep understanding of fire safety, building compliance, and passive fire protection, with enthusiasm for improving people’s safety in communal environments.
As part of a collaborative team, you’ll juggle multiple tasks: deliver high-quality surveys that comply with both time and budget, and communicate effectively with customers. Organisation, prioritisation, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections in:
- Cavities
- Loft spaces
- Below-floor voids
- Ceilings
- Boxed-in or hard-to-reach areas
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain working knowledge of Rockwool, Hilti, and Quelfire systems
- Use reporting software (Bolster / One Serve) for accurate documentation
- Perform detailed record-keeping
- Apply keenness of eye for errors and compliance issues

Requirements
Essential
- Proven surveying experience across private and public sector properties
- Full UK driving license
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and mobile devices (tablets/PDAs)
- Relevant qualification, such as:
- Certificate in Applied Fire Risk Assessment
- Fire Safety Management expertise demonstrating depth via hands-on experience (evidence optional)
Desirable Qualifications
- FIRAS Card (Supervisory or Technician Level)
- NVQ Level 2 in Passive Fire Protection (preferred)
- IOSH Managing Safely or safety-related certifications
- PASMA (mobile access) or First Aid qualification
- Asbestos Awareness
