About the Role
Do you have experience surveying properties and designing domestic heating systems across a range of technologies? Are you confident identifying installation risks, site constraints, and compliance requirements while delivering a right-first-time approach? Do you enjoy working collaboratively with customers, contractors, and operational teams to achieve outstanding results?
We're looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused Surveyor to join our Heating team. Reporting to the Customer Delivery Manager Heating, you'll play a key role in ensuring heating installations are designed, specified, and delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
You'll carry out detailed property surveys, produce accurate heating system designs, and provide the technical information needed to support successful installations across a range of heating technologies, helping us deliver excellent outcomes for customers and colleagues alike.
Location: Norwich
Hours: Full Time - 40 hpw - Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct comprehensive property surveys for heating installation projects.
- Produce accurate heating system designs and specifications.
- Assess installation risks, site constraints, and regulatory requirements.
- Support installations involving gas, oil, electric, renewable, and low-carbon heating technologies.
- Work closely with installation teams, subcontractors, and operational colleagues to ensure designs are practical and compliant.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve issues during project delivery.
- Support quality assurance activities and help maintain high installation standards.
- Ensure customers receive safe, efficient, and cost-effective heating solutions that meet their needs.

What You'll Bring
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong technical knowledge of domestic heating systems and installation practices.
- Experience conducting property surveys and producing heating system designs.
- Ability to identify appropriate heating solutions across a range of fuel types and technologies.
- Experience assessing installation risks, compliance requirements, and site-specific challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers, contractors, and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications
You will ideally hold:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating.
- Low Temperature Design qualification.
- ACS qualifications including CCN1 and CENWAT (or equivalent).
- Additional qualifications in renewable, oil, or other heating technologies would be advantageous.
