Conduct detailed site-based assessments and prepare survey-led claims for Plant & Machinery allowances and SBA. Perfect for surveyors or consultants looking to enhance their technical expertise within a growing specialist division.

About The Role

Job Title: Surveyor

Department
Capital Allowances

Location:
UK-wide

Contract
Full-time, part-time, or consultancy

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Capital Allowances Surveyor to join CPRA’s expanding Capital Allowances division. Our team provides high-quality, survey-led advice to clients across the UK, specialising in Plant & Machinery allowances, Structures & Buildings Allowances (SBA), and detailed site-survey assessments.

CPRA’s approach is rooted in technical accuracy, ethical practice and evidence-led reporting. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial property, construction costs, tax legislation relating to capital allowances, and the practical surveying required for robust claims. You will be confident working independently, conducting site inspections, preparing claims, and reporting into our London headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed site-based surveys to identify qualifying expenditure for Plant & Machinery and SBA claims.
  • Prepare comprehensive capital allowances claim reports with high levels of technical accuracy.
  • Analyse construction costs, property acquisition details, and historic expenditure.
  • Liaise with clients, accountants, and legal representatives to obtain required documentation.
  • Provide clear valuation and apportionment evidence to support each claim.
  • Maintain organised case files and ensure full auditability and compliance.
  • Support senior surveyors and directors on large or complex national portfolios.
  • Uphold CPRA’s ethical, independent and evidence-driven standards at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
