Interim Building Surveyor

Council in Surrey (Hybrid)

3-6 month rolling contract

£££ flexible day rate for the right person

Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for an Interim Surveyor to work with one of our Local Authorities clients in Surrey.

What the Job Will Be Doing:

  • Civil engineering project which consists of sheet piling to river bank so any experience with civil engineering or suitable qualifications, compliance, and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in using the NBS CORUS software for compiling specifications.
  • We use JCT or NEC format for all our own preliminaries.
  • Need to get on with the team, be professional, and hit the ground running.
  • We have some housing repairs and a requirement to investigate damp in a property we are considering for refurbishment for Temporary accommodation if the business case is there, developed through to completion.
  • Generally, to help in the office with compliance checking/monitoring, day-to-day repairs, complaints, FOI’s, inspections, we organise and run M&E for all council properties including managing large cleaning contracts.

  • A surveyor with fire qualifications either NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety, IFE Level 3, 4 or 5 Certificate, or FPA Diploma in Fire Risk Assessments.
  • Must have a clean driving license and vehicle insured for work.
