Surveyor / Senior Surveyor - Valuation team

Title: Surveyor / Senior Surveyor - Commercial Valuation

Location: Manchester

Work arrangement: Full-time

About The Role

We have a team of 20 across the North with a diverse background and variety of skill sets working together to provide the best service possible to our clients across all areas of the commercial & residential markets. The Surveyor role will be based in Manchester and form part of the commercial valuation team.

You will be working for market leading clients which gives an unrivalled opportunity to value the very best properties whilst working closely with our wider valuation teams from across the country.

‒ Conduct physical property inspections and assist senior valuers with more complex inspections

‒ Collaborate with other members of the Valuation team on the valuation process

‒ Conduct technical aspects of property due diligence and review changes to valuation data

‒ Select appropriate comparables, performing analysis, and drawing conclusions

‒ Perform valuation modelling (including DCF modelling), calculations and analysis and support for senior valuers on more complex valuations

‒ Close liaison with clients ensuring high quality advice is consistently delivered

‒ Preparation of reports

‒ Support senior members of the team with business development, RFPs and pitch activities

‒ Gather and share relevant market intelligence and support senior members of the team with other value-add tasks

‒ Assisting with business development by handling repeat business, attending industry events and client presentations

‒ Client focused approach and ability to develop strong relationships

‒ Peer group engagement with wider CBRE network and service lines

What You'll Need

‒ MRICS qualified or equivalent.

‒ Knowledge of property valuation methodologies and techniques

‒ Proficiency in using valuation software and tools, such as Argus Enterprise & Developer and Excel

‒ Good understanding of property market trends and factors influencing property values

‒ Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in property valuation

‒ Willingness to learn and develop professional skills

‒ Ability to work collaboratively in a team and support senior valuers, but also able to operate autonomously in an efficient and productive manner

‒ Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling the development of good relationships with both clients and colleagues

‒ Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

‒ Valid UK driving licence
