Sustainability Analyst & Business Operations Associate

Location: London (hybrid)

About Us

Our client is a specialist sustainability and human rights advisory firm, working with some of the world's leading organisations to build more ethical, resilient, and responsible supply chains. They partner with global brands, Chief Sustainability Officers, and senior leadership teams to tackle complex challenges across human rights, labour standards, responsible sourcing, gender equality, and sustainable business practices. Their work helps organisations navigate evolving legislation, strengthen supply chains, and create meaningful, lasting change.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an ambitious, organised, and intellectually curious Sustainability Analyst & Business Operations Associate to join the team.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for someone looking to build a career in sustainability consulting. The role is centred around research, analysis, and project coordination, giving you exposure to sustainability strategy, human rights, responsible sourcing, and global supply chains from day one.

Alongside this, you'll provide business operations and executive support to the Founder and senior leadership team, helping keep projects, meetings, and priorities running smoothly. You'll be researching new Human Rights Due Diligence legislation one morning, preparing a client presentation in the afternoon, and coordinating meetings with international clients before the day ends.

Key Responsibilities

Sustainability Research & Analysis

  • Research developments in sustainability, human rights, and responsible business.
  • Monitor emerging legislation, including Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), and wider supply chain legislation.
  • Analyse sustainability trends, client news, and competitor activity.
  • Research ethical sourcing, labour rights, responsible supply chains, and ESG best practice.
  • Produce research summaries, briefing papers, and client insights.
  • Support sustainability projects through high-quality research and analysis.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
