Job Description

To support DPD in their mission to be the UK’s leader in sustainable delivery by taking learnings from the apprenticeship qualification and using this to drive initiatives, projects and ways of working.

Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility

  • Completing customer carbon reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and adhoc basis utilising the existing reporting framework
  • Monitoring the team mailbox and responding to queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Liaising with customers regarding granular carbon data requirements and preparing reports to fulfill these requests
  • Processing invoices relating to the use of external stakeholders e.g. consultancies and charities
  • Identification and development of projects suitable for the DPD Eco Fund
  • Maintaining excellent relationships with external stakeholders such as charities and partners involved in Relove and Eco Fund initiatives
  • Developing knowledge and capability in relation to the application of sustainability-related legislation and supporting with implementation
  • Management of supplier relationships for the purpose of gathering emissions data and working closely with internal teams to manage and communicate this data
  • Developing communication skills through various mediums to support in the engagement of internal and external stakeholders
  • Building relationships with stakeholders across the business to support in the implementation of projects
  • Supporting at off-site meetings and events with external stakeholders such as customers and charity partners
  • Operating effectively within organisational, financial, and resource constraints and policies, and being compliant with statutory safety and employment regulations
  • Maintaining high levels of professional conduct, ethical behaviour and integrity at all times

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidates must have completed three A-Levels, minimum grade C
  • Apprentices must have achieved a pass at GCSE/Level 2 in Maths and English before they can complete their final exams.

Additional Information

What we’re looking for;

  • Passionate and interested in Sustainability and Corporate, Social, Responsibility (CSR)
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Constant and curious learner with a desire to continuously develop their skills set and knowledge base
  • Familiar with Google Workspace (GMail/GSheet) or Microsoft Office package (Word and Excel primarily)
  • Independently motivated, with the ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate direction
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • High attention to detail to produce accurate and quality work
  • Willing to travel to alternative DPD locations and external events on an adhoc basis where required
  • An individual who has the ability to welcome and adapt to change, within a forward thinking business.
  • Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work and Accountability
