Sustainability Compliance Analyst
Sustainability Compliance Analyst – Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) & Sustainability Team
Department: Risk and Compliance Location: Manchester Office Application Deadline: 7 July 2026
About the Role
Greenergy delivers safe, efficient, and reliable fuel solutions to customers across the road, aviation, and marine sectors. As an international transportation fuel supplier, we combine traditional and renewable energy solutions to support customers through the energy transition.
Our commitment to innovation and our unique approach have grown us from a bedroom start-up into a supplier of transport fuels in the UK, Ireland, and Canada, while also becoming a leading European manufacturer of waste-based renewables.
We are seeking a detailed-focused and organised Sustainability Compliance Analyst to join our Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO) and Sustainability team in Manchester. In this role, you will support compliance activities related to feedstock used by our biodiesel plants, as well as other reporting obligations.
This is perfect for someone who enjoys working with data, reports, and records, with an interest in developing expertise in sustainability compliance. You will assist with key tasks such as feedstock declarations, system updates, daily position reporting, Union Database records, audit preparation, and RFAS reporting—ensuring information is always accurate, complete, and readily available.
Since biofuel sustainability compliance is a niche sector, full training will be provided. We are looking for candidates with strong Excel skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to follow processes consistently. While prior experience in compliance, audit support, fuel, logistics, supply chain, or regulated reporting would be beneficial, it is not essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
